Wageningen University & Research is offering a fully funded PhD position focused on understanding the fundamental biophysical mechanics driving phagocytosis in immune cells. This interdisciplinary project combines theoretical modeling, computational simulations, and quantitative experimental measurements to advance the understanding of cytoskeletal mechanics in phagocytosis.

Qualifications 

1.  A completed MSc degree in biological or physical sciences, or a related discipline.
2. Strong affinity with interdisciplinary research, preferably in physics-biology or mathematics-biology domains.
3. Fundamental understanding of biological physics and cell mechanics or soft matter physics.
4.  Good quantitative skills and strong analytical capabilities.
5. Experience with mathematical/computational modeling of biological processes
