• Description:

    The German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) Halle-Jena-Leipzig is seeking to fill the position of a Postdoctoral Researcher to analyze Germany-wide biodiversity data. The successful candidate will conduct scientific trend analyses of spatio-temporal dynamics of biodiversity patterns, evaluate recording methods and databases, and contribute to the visualization of analysis outputs.

    Qualifications 

    1. PhD in biology, ecology, computational science, or a related field
    2. Experience in database management, scientific programming (R and/or Python), and quantitative biodiversity analysis
    3. Desirable: Experience in collaboration with natural history societies, state agencies, museums, and taxon experts; knowledge of hierarchical Bayesian models and data integration modeling; experience in data visualization and R-Shiny application development
