    The College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences (MVLS) invites applications for the College Futures PhD Programme, which supports up to 12 fully-funded PhD studentships. These positions offer a unique opportunity for home students to engage in groundbreaking research aligned with four innovative themes.

    The College Futures PhD Programme is targeted at fostering research that addresses critical health and environmental challenges through four main themes:

    1.  Fundamentals of Life: Focuses on advancing fundamental research in biosciences.
    2. Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics: Aims to develop innovative clinical interventions for humans and animals.
    3. Health Inequalities: Seeks to understand and combat health inequalities through scalable solutions.
    4. Planetary Health: Investigates the impact of environmental change on health and ecosystems.

    Each PhD studentship provides a stipend in line with UKRI rates, covers home tuition fees for three years, and allocates up to £17,500 for research consumables.
