The Idiap Research Institute in Switzerland is offering a fully funded PhD position focused on the development of multimodal, gender- and culture-aware deep learning techniques for analyzing and classifying various depression disorders. This position involves collaboration with international partners and aims to advance AI-based solutions for mental health diagnostics.

Eligibility 

• Master’s (or equivalent) degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics.
• Strong background in mathematics, programming (particularly Python), and machine learning (including deep learning).
• Knowledge in Speech and Signal Processing, Natural Language Processing, or medical data analysis is desirable.
• Interest in mental health research and collaboration.
