• Description:

Queen Mary University of London invites applications for a British Heart Foundation-funded Postdoctoral Research Associate position within the Centre for Microvascular Research, led by Dr. Loïc Rolas. This role is an exceptional opportunity for early-career researchers to contribute to crucial studies on the relationship between vascular ageing and immune cells, with a focus on endothelial cell senescence.

The primary focus of this research is to investigate the role of endothelial cell senescence in the dysregulation of the immune response to various inflammatory insults, particularly in the context of ageing and cardiovascular diseases. The selected candidate will join Dr. Loïc Rolas’s laboratory in the Centre for Microvascular Research, contributing to pioneering investigations linked to vascular ageing and immune system interactions. Responsibilities will include:

    1. Conducting high-level research that advances the understanding of endothelial cell senescence.
    2. Collaborating with other team members to enhance project outcomes.
    3. Utilizing advanced microscopy techniques and maintaining cell cultures.
    4. Engaging in academic discussions and contributing to publications.
