• Description:

    The Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology at Columbia University and the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) are seeking doctoral students interested in working across the two institutions.

    Research areas include plant ecology and evolution, conservation and restoration, and plants and people. Interested students should contact a potential mentor in each institution with the goal of identifying potential co-advisors. 

    Please include your Academic CV and a brief statement about your interests and background.

    Preference will be given to students with interests that draw on the combined expertise of scientists at Columbia and NYBG. Students will be guaranteed five years of support. Students will need to submit an application to each program.
