    The British Academy, in collaboration with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Policy-Led Innovation Fellowship Scheme 2024-25. This fellowship aims to support early and mid-career researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences to collaborate with organizations and businesses in various sectors to address challenges requiring innovative solutions.

    The successful candidates will engage in policy-led research and collaborate with the FCDO to address critical issues in India and Africa. Fellows will have the opportunity to work closely with policymakers within the FCDO, contributing high-quality evidence-based analysis and influencing valuable policy decisions.

    Eligibility 

    • Early-career or mid-career researchers in the humanities and social sciences
    • Strong research background in the specified areas of India, energy transition and climate change in Africa, and the role of technology in citizen-state relations in Africa
