• Description:

    The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) is investing SEK 26 million in research institute doctoral students. This program aims to support excellent research within the fields of science, medicine, and technology, and to promote collaboration between different sectors to facilitate the training of strategically competitive PhDs.

    The successful candidate will be granted SEK 3.25 million for a research project covering funds for research and postgraduate training for a doctoral student employed at a research institute. The grant runs for four to five years and must result in a doctoral degree. The project must have a steering group consisting of at least two supervisors, one at the university and one at the institute.

    Eligibility 

    1.  Employees of a research institute collaborating with an academy
    2. Intended PhD study in the fields of science, medicine, and technology
    3. Not already accepted for a doctoral position
    4. At least 80% employment at the research institute during the entire grant period
