    Bournemouth University, in collaboration with industry partner Parvalux Electric Motors Ltd, is offering an exciting research opportunity for a fully-funded PhD studentship. This project aims to address key questions related to sustainable design, material selection, and energy efficiency in electric motors and gears to contribute to a greener future

    The successful candidate will work under the guidance of BU’s Professor Zulfiqar Khan to research and propose innovative solutions in adapting design, materials, and manufacturing processes of electric motors and gears towards sustainability. This involves investigating the optimization of system interactions, the replacement of hazardous materials, and the implementation of RoSH and REACH regulatory standards.

    This fully-funded PhD studentship offers a stipend of £18,622 annually to support living costs and presents a unique opportunity to engage in impactful research towards sustainable innovation in electric motors and gears.
