    College of Education and Health Professions, Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation. The Energy Availability and Muscle Metabolism (EAM2) laboratory, led by Dr. Megan Rosa-Caldwell, is recruiting Ph.D. students to start in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025.

    The EAM2 lab seeks to understand physiological and biological alterations during severe energy restriction, such as during anorexia nervosa and how these changes influence short-term and long-term health. The laboratory is housed within the University of Arkansas Exercise Science Research Center within the Department of Human Health, Performance and Recreation (HHPR). Dr. Rosa-Caldwell also has a dual appointment within the Cell and Molecular Biology program where students can also apply.
