• Description:

    We are looking for two PhD students in ​​Materials Engineering with a focus on additive manufacturing of metallic materials for aeronautical applications. The positions are financed by Vinnova, the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish aviation industry via the national aeronautical research program (NFFP). Both projects aim to ensure that the required mechanical properties are achieved in additively manufactured (AM) materials and that the manufactured components meet the performance and safety requirements of the aerospace industry. Both projects, which are conducted in close collaboration with GKN Aerospace Sweden AB or Saab AB, are described in detail below.

    Eligibility 

    You have graduated at Master’s level in e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Aeronautical Engineering or Applied Physics or completed courses with a minimum of 240 credits, at least 60 of which must be in advanced courses in e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Aeronautical Engineering or Applied Physics. Alternatively, you have gained essentially corresponding knowledge in another way.
