    We are looking for a PhD student in Computer Science formally based at the Department of Computer and Information Science (IDA) as part of the national research program WASP. Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) is Sweden's largest individual research program ever, a major national initiative for strategically motivated basic research, education and faculty recruitment. The program addresses research on artificial intelligence and autonomous systems acting in collaboration with humans. Read more about WASP here.

    Qualifications 

    We seek a highly motivated doctoral student eager to make a difference in artificial intelligence. Candidates should have a master’s degree in computer science or completed coursework amounting to at least 240 ECTS-credits including at least 60 ECTS-credits from the second cycle in the field of computer science; alternatively demonstrated essentially equivalent knowledge.

    We expect candidates to have previous experience in areas such as automated planning, reinforcement learning, logic or combinatorial optimization. Furthermore, candidates should have excellent study results, very good programming skills and high proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
