• Description:

    The HFSP fellowship program seeks candidates for transformative research in life sciences, particularly encouraging high-risk interdisciplinary projects challenging existing paradigms. Two types of fellowships are offered: Long-Term Fellowships (LTF) for PhD holders in biological topics and Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships (CDF) for non-biological discipline holders.

    Successful candidates will embark on novel, frontier projects in life sciences, fostering interdisciplinary approaches and international collaboration. Responsibilities include conducting research, publishing findings, and actively engaging in the scientific community.

    Eligibility 

    1. Nationality: Applicants must be nationals of HFSP member countries or propose to work in one of these countries.
    2. Host Country: Candidates must propose research in a country different from where they conducted their PhD or previous post-doctoral research.
    3. Doctoral Degree: A conferred research doctorate (PhD) or equivalent within 3 years prior to the Full Proposal submission deadline.
    4. Research Publications: At least one lead author publication by the Letter of Intent submission deadline.
