• Description:

Join the Meroueh laboratory at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Biochemistry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in developing covalent inhibitors and PROTAC degraders of oncogenes.

The successful candidate will work on a project focused on developing covalent inhibitors and proteolysis targeted chimera (PROTAC) degraders of oncogenes with no approved drugs. Responsibilities include protein expression and purification, biochemical and bioanalytical studies to characterize small molecule binding and inhibition, and exploration of promising compounds in mammalian cells for target engagement and protein degradation. Training will be provided for candidates lacking expertise in certain areas.

    Eligibility

Candidates with a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical and biomolecular engineering, or molecular and cell biology are encouraged to apply.
