Description: Join the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA) in Trondheim, Norway, for a two-year postdoctoral position with a possible one-year extension. Collaborate on the project “Integrating past evolution, adaptive capacity, and dispersal in population viability analysis under climate change (ADAPT)” funded by the Research Council of Norway. Develop a novel modelling approach integrating demography, genetics, and dispersal for spatially structured population viability predictions.
Qualifications
- PhD in Biology or relevant field with a strong quantitative background
- Skills in population-dynamic modelling; additional knowledge of Bayesian methods, eco-evolutionary theory, movement ecology, and/or population genetics are advantageous
- Good communication skills and a strong publication record
- Creative and able to work independently and in a team
