This position focuses on developing methods to evaluate and optimize healthcare strategies through a systems engineering approach. The PhD candidate will:
- Create a quantitative method determining working hours required by various healthcare staff to manage diseases.
- Utilize patient data, business information from healthcare organizations, and national registries to inform simulation models.
- Collaborate with healthcare organizations to enhance the sustainability of healthcare systems.
Qualifications
- A quantitative Master’s degree (e.g., Health Economics, Econometrics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, or Computer Sciences).
- Affinity with statistical or mathematical modeling and programming experience, preferably in R.
- Good communication skills and an excellent command of English (Dutch proficiency desirable).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.
